Journal Entry#3

      The mining in sky is a good idea because its benefits, but it is adventure in the same time. The explorers found asteroids in our solar system which include water, gold, and platinum. The benefit of the water is to use as fuel or to grow crops in space. The group who lead the project, mining in sky, sent a new telescope to investigate types of the rocks. Some people afraid about this project cost which is about billion dollars, but others like James, who makes avatar movie, invests money in this project which will be started in 10 years.
      It good to find other sources of water, metals, or fuel in space. I wish to invest money in such project. Maybe finding water in space leads to find life there.
         I learn some good information and new vocabulary from this article. the vocabulary are: mine, scoop up, and squeeze.     

Journal Entry#2

       The protection of the engendered animals, such as "saving the panda" is very important, but it isn't easy in the same time. For example, the cost of hosing of panda, which is extinct animal, can exceed $2.5 million a year. This money is spent as fee for doctors, keepers, food, and toys. Although the cost is expensive, several benefits will get. First, saving these kinds of animals from the extinction is good thing. In recent year the number of bounded-panda has risen. Second, the government will get revenue. Also, there are many pandas became independent. Some countries like the US and China is protecting the panda, and they try to make it many.
          When I read the passage "Saving the Panda", I felt surprising because of the cost of caring. In past, I thought that the ticket of any zoo is expensive, but now I thing that is reasonable. But when I went to the San Diego's zoo, I saw the panda was dirty. By the way the panda is a beautiful animal, so we should save it.
        from this passage I learn some vocabularies, such as precious, revenue, offset, and accommodating.

Inter. Reading Journal#1

            The most important sporting event in the world is the Olympic Games. Most of people dream to become an athlete and take part in the Olympic games, but that is depend on two factors. First, the natural characteristics of the body are important to help which field will be chosen. Second factor is a practice which means to do an activity and keep on with it. In addition, the environment or culture also effect on success. For example, if a person has a talent, and his/her culture prevents him/her, he/she won't be able to go on with his/her talent. 
               Actually, I feel very interesting when I watch Olympic games. I prefer the gymnastic game more than others. I'm looking forward to watch Olympic games in real no on TV.  

            From this passage I learned some vocabularies, such as champion, twitch, attribute, and anxiety.

Baqer Alhabeeb

            I would like to introduce myself. My name is Baqer Alhabeeb. I'm from Iraq. I have BSc, bachelor degree in mechanical engineering sciences .I was working in Kerbala University in Iraq as a supervisor on projects in the university .In the same time; I was working in my computer center to fix computers. I got good grads in university, so I got a scholarship. I have been in the U.S for five months. I'm living in Nutwood Apartments, Fullerton California. I'm studying English in ALP, American Language Program in intermediate level. I'm studying hard to improve my English. I will complete my study to get MSc, master degree in mechanical engineering sciences, in CSUF. Before that I must get 550 in TOEFL, 6.5 in IELTS or 79 in iBT to continue my study in the university because I have been an additional conditional letter from CSUF. I am looking forward to complete my study with good grads. Then I'll go home to help my country.    

            Beside my study, I have a limit time to relax. My hobbies are swimming, soccer, basketball and reading. I couldn't know swim before I come here, but now I can swim very well. Every weekend, my friends and I play soccer or basketball. In addition, I like to read anything which helps me to learn more about any topic. Also, It helps me to improve my English.

Bad Technology

I wish the Nuclear Bomb has not been invented

       Some technology has only disadvantages such as nuclear bomb. This technology was invented to show power. The great countries like the US have nuclear bombs to appear to other countries that they are the strongest countries in the world. During World War II, the US used these types of bombs to attack Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Then the US made an apology to Japanese. Today, the main problem is connected with weapons of mass destruction. The bad relationship between the US and North Korea is because of this technology. The other bad relationship between the US and Iran is because of this technology also. In short, if these kinds of bombs were not invented, our lives would be better.     

B) If you could be the president or leader of your country for a week, what would you do?

If I become a Leader of Iraq for One Week

       There are many things that I hope to do. One week is not long time, so I'll focus and plan to solve the main four problems in Iraq such us terror, energy problem, cleaning, and agriculture. Iraq has been suffering because of the terror since 2003. It is the complex problem that we have. So, I'll implement the rule of retribution on all convicts. If I end the terror, I'll be able to solve any other problems. For example, Iraq has been an electrical energy problem since 1980. Today, Iraq needs about 20,000 MW -Mega Watt- while the maximum producing is 9000MW. The solution for this problem is established power stations to produce power and renewed an old electrical transmission net. The other problem that we suffer because of it is pollution and dirty. The first step to figure out it make maintenance for the roads; then plant trees in all deserts. The second step is invited international cleaning company to work in Iraq. the third step is established a factory to trash circulation. Fourth problem is the agriculture problem. Although Iraq has tow rivers, he import agricultural crops from other countries. To solve this problem I must be enhanced the farmer and courage him to plant. In short, Iraq has a lot of problems that need a long time to solve, so in one week I'll just put a plans to figure out these problems.        

The Last War between Iraq and U.S

Iraq made several wars like the U.S. The first war between them takes place in 1991 when Iraqi forces inter Kuwait. In 2003, the last war is taken between them and this war has advantages and disadvantages for Iraq.

           The advantages of this war are realize from Saddam Hussein, grew economic, and connect with the world. We were under the worst dictator in modern history. He was treated his people as enemy. He was considered who don’t work as he wanted as an enemy. Even his relatives were uncomfortable that they were unsafe because of him. For example, he killed his uncle, Adnan Kher Alla, because he just advised him. Now, we predict good future for us without Saddam. The second advantage the Iraqi economic becomes better than before. For example, the salary for an employee was $3, but now it became at least $400. Today Iraq has good relationships with most countries. There are many modern company from the US, Japan, German, China ...etc. work in Iraq, and we cosider this a good chance to share ideas with others.

          In same time the Iraqi people pay more and more to get his freedom. We criticize the U.S because it helps Saddam during the revolution of Iraqi people in 1991, most of Iraqi people fought against him, and they took off more 6 provinces. But the US's department helps him although it knows that he is a dictator. In 2003 George W Push decided the enter Iraq because he said “Iraq has a nuclear bombs”. At the  first time, he said “we will enter Iraq as editors” then he announced Iraq is controlled by the US forces. The truth was that Iraq doesn’t have any nuclear bombs. After 2003 until now we suffer because of the terrorist. We were dissatisfied when the president Push said “we will move our battles against the terrorist inside Iraqi territories”. Because of that most Iraqi people dead.

          By the way every war should has reason to other accept it, and already it has benefits and loss. Although the suffer conditions that Iraq live. it make Iraq strong and wise country. Today, Iraq became one of the democratic and freedom countries, and we predict a shined future for it.
